A/Prof Ward is a member of Genea, world leading fertility and is on the Medical Advisory Committee of Baringa Private Hospital. He is a Fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists as well as a NSW Board Certified Specialist. He is registered as a RANZCOG examiner and is a RAMUS mentor. He is also now a Member of IVF Australia associated with the expert team at Hunter IVF in Newcastle.

In his spare time, he lectures GPs and the public on relevant OBGYN topics and writes poetry, plays guitar and is a Lifehouse church musician and vocalist. His wife Kathy is a Senior Physiotherapist with a special interest in pelvic floor dysfunction and post-surgical rehabilitation.
